Despite Christian persecution every day in many countries, Christians worldwide recognize Christmas day as a celebration of the News of Joy. The birth, life and death on the cross of Jesus Christ gives Christians hope. They strive to follow His example and live a life that includes charity and giving, kindness and compassion, core values and Biblical teachings. Christians aren’t perfect and real Christians will tell you that with a humble heart. Christmas is a special time in the world. It is a time for the lessons that Christ taught. He instructed us to love our neighbor and to love God. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. If you don’t already know Jesus, make today the day that changes your life. You will see Christmas in a whole new light. …

Pakistani Christians look for hope at Christmas
Christians in Pakistan are a marginalized, victimized and poor minority. They are blamed for problems between Pakistan and the U.S. They are subjugated to poverty and the slums. Still, they put all that aside to recognize Christmas. Read the story here.
The Good News of Jesus – some try to muffle
Christians find personal pleasure in helping their fellow human beings. We can’t stand the thought of a sad child or a hungry child, especially at Christmas time. Christ loved the little children and made that abundantly clear to all around him. It is with that in mind that one has to wonder why one person can throw cold water on an enormous project to benefit children around the world….a project with the help of school children right here in the U.S. Here is the story.
More killings of Christians in Egypt
Hosni Mubarak come back. At least Mubarak protected the 10% Christian minority in Egypt. They have no protection now. Another 24 Christians were killed and 200 injured in attacks by radical Muslims. The Coptic Christians in Egypt have been the victims of dozens of attacks and church burnings since the ouster of Mubarak. This latest incident started after ultra-conservative Muslims protested the building of two Christian churchs. Read the story here.
Christian Pastor in Iran may be executed
It would be a lot more enjoyable to live up to this site’s name and always bring good news. They Christian message is a message of good news, but the reaction to Christians by intolerant regimes is not a joyful message. Again, we have to report on another case of a Christian who may lose his life because of his faith. A pastor in Iran has been found guilty of apostasy and may be executed any day now. He has chosen to keep his faith in Jesus Christ and not renounce that faith as the Iranian authorities have demanded. Read the story here.
It’s that 1% that can mean everything
Are you one of those people who are convinced God doesn’t exist? Maybe you think that Jesus lived, but He was only a prophet. Maybe you are not that person, but you know someone who is? Maybe you are really sure that God doesn’t exist, but you would not say that you are 100% sure. Maybe, you could say the same about your feelings about Jesus; you are sure He was just a well known prophet or philosopher and you are quite sure that He was not God in the flesh. You might even describe yourself as 99% sure. Heaven or Hell Christians believe that you must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior in order to go to Heaven. Christians base that belief on several passages in the Bible where …
Are We in the End Times?
Jesus told us that we would not know the moment of His return. Many academic theologians and others tell us that we should not bother to speculate about the end times because of this. Christ did tell us that we would not know the moment of His return, but He never said that we would not recognize the signs that His return was near. Those signs are discussed at length in the Bible. There have been predictions about the end times over the years and many have been confident that the Rapture was near. Many dates have proven erroneous and this has added to the general speculation by Christians and non-believers alike. The Reality Today Today, the world has a convergence of signs and prophetic events that have not been …
More Christians Murdered in Egypt
It’s a sad irony to have to keep reporting the murder of Christians on a website called News of Joy, but the reality is that Christians in the Middle East and elsewhere are murdered every week. A less tolerant religion has targeted Christians for execution and Al-Qaida in Iraq recently said that Christians were justifiable “targets.” When Mubarak was still president of Egypt, he protected the Coptic Christians there. They make up only 9% of the countries population. Now that he has been overthrown, the Christians have no protection and they have been the victims in several recent group murders. 6 More Christians killed in Egypt
Pakistani Christians the victims of discrimination
The Christians in Pakistan are persecuted on a daily basis by the country’s Muslim majority. The persecution comes in many forms, from the denial of even the most menial jobs, to death. This site is called News of Joy and the good news of Jesus Christ is a reason for joy, but the conditions the Pakistani Christians face should be more widely known. They only make up 1% of Pakistan’s population and their numbers will dwindle as they are physically harrassed and murdered. This discrimination does not get the attention of “human rights” organizations though. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/04/23/pakistani-deprived-christian-community-say-theyre-persecuted/?test=latestnews
